Also the Grand Prix then explodes on to the Albert Park Lake race track just minutes from our doorstep. Melbourne is the home of AFL football with games played at the famous MCG and Telstra Dome.

Melbourne's Major Venues
MCG - The most famous sporting venue in Australia, home to AFL football and Cricket Australia. Has hosted both Olympic and Commonwealth Games plus many other famous sporting events and concerts over the years. It has a seating capacity of close to 100,000 people and is located just on the edge of Melbourne city. Riverside apartments are just a 10 minute tram ride to the MCG from our front door step.
Rod Laver Arena - Host to the Australian Tennis Open one of only four grand slam tennis events held around the world. The arena also is the home of many major concerts including such acts as the Rolling Stones.
Melbourne Exhibition Centre - Host to all major exhibitions including the famous Motor show, boat show, Gift Fair and caravan shows plus numerous other exhibitions all year round. Riverside Apartments is a 5 minute walk to the entrance of the Centre.
Melbourne Conference Centre - This centre is busy year round with major conferences making Riverside Apartments an ideal location to stay while attending a conference. The apartments are just a short walk across Batman Park.
